But if you want to teach them even more, you should tell them about what's happening \"inside\" animals after a zoo visit. Then children can truly understand the environments, food, and habits that animals prefer.\n\n\"When you know, you love.\" These are the words of zoologist Professor Choi Jae-cheon, who believed that understanding animals leads to loving them. This book puts that philosophy into practice. By explaining animal ecology and classification in an easy and friendly way, it helps children feel as if they are looking inside animals themselves.\n\nThrough this Mysterious Journey Inside Animals' Bodies, we hope to help children develop a desire to cherish and protect nature, and to provide a space where they can learn wisdom from the natural world.\n\nWhy take a journey inside animals' bodies?\n\nTo find out how a car can vroom and zoom around, you take it apart and look inside. To find out how animals can wriggle and dash about, do you take them apart too? Ouch, that would be a problem — but this book has the answer! We don't need to actually dissect animals ourselves. Doctors and scientists have already done that countless times throughout history. For hundreds, even thousands of years, people have examined the insides of animals in great detail. Why?\n\n♥ To survive by eating\nWhich animal is good to hunt for food? Which part tastes the best? Which part might cause an unpleasant human's stomach to hurt?\n\n♥ To understand nature\nHow can animals move and stay alive? How did animals evolve? How are animals similar to or different from one another? People wanted to know!\n\n♥ To understand the universe\nHow did life first begin? What kinds of life might exist beyond Earth? Human brains are curious enough to want to understand the whole universe—so why are sheep less clever than people?\n\n♥ For the animals themselves\nWhen an animal is sick, what exactly is wrong inside its body?\n\n♥ For people\nTo save human lives through surgery or to develop new medicines, countless experiments are necessary—but we can't experiment on people. So, apologetically, we ask animals like mice to help instead. To do that, we need to understand animals' bodies well.\n\nNow, people have learned an enormous amount about all kinds of animals. How? Of course, thanks to careful, scientific study and research of their insides. But how do you examine something you can't even see? Mostly by dissecting animals that have already died.\n\nRest assured, not a single animal was harmed in the making of this book. No animal was troubled in the slightest, nor given a single frightening glance. This book features 38 species of wildflowers commonly seen in parks and along roadsides, such as foxtail grass, violets, and dandelions. Vivid illustrations capture how wildflowers bear fruit, spread their seeds, and inspire fun outdoor games. Each flower's unique story is told in warm, easy language, just like a friend sharing a story by your side.\n\nCommon Wildflowers, Even in the City\nWildflowers are all around us. You can find them in school flower beds, in the cracks between sidewalk pavers, and even in abandoned flower pots. But they're often so small that we simply walk right past them without noticing. Take a closer look at wildflowers, and you'll discover them growing nearby, as if playing hide-and-seek. This book showcases 38 species of these familiar wildflowers.\n\nCall Each Wildflower by Its Name\nEven the tiniest wildflower has a name. Look closely at each wildflower and call it by name. Author Lee Young-deuk, who wrote this book, is a true friend to wildflowers, calling each one by name. Born in a mountain village in Uljin, Gyeongbuk, she grew up tasting wildflowers, playing grass whistles, and making grass dolls. As an adult, she has spent many years working as a wildflower ecology guide.\n\nBeautiful, Detailed Botanical Illustrations\nThis book features our native wildflowers rendered in careful, detailed illustrations. Illustrator Park Shin-young has been drawing wildflowers for nearly 10 years. She observes each wildflower closely and grows them herself, pouring great care into every illustration. The rich illustrations also capture how wildflowers bear fruit, spread their seeds, and inspire playful activities.\n\nA Detailed Illustration Encyclopedia to Enjoy Like a Picture Book\nThe ≪Things I Like≫ series brings to life the familiar and beloved animals and plants found all around us.\n\nField horsetail \/ Foxtail grass \/ Crabgrass \/ Asiatic dayflower \/ Japanese hop \/ Curly dock \/ Mile-a-minute weed \/ Common lambsquarters \/ Common purslane \/ Chickweed \/ China pink \/ Old lady pasqueflower \/ Greater celandine \/ Indian strawberry \/ Cinquefoil \/ Great burnet \/ Hairy vetch \/ Wild soybean \/ Chinese milk vetch \/ White clover \/ Creeping woodsorrel \/ Violet \/ Evening primrose \/ Rough potato \/ Bindweed \/ Trigonotis \/ Selfheal \/ Black nightshade \/ Field speedwell \/ Plantain \/ Thistle \/ Aster \/ Annual fleabane \/ Jerusalem artichoke \/ Cocklebur \/ Dandelion \/ Prickly lettuce \/ Sow thistle \/ A World Full of Wildflowers \/ Wildflower Seeds \/ Playing with Wildflowers","brand":"IBOOKPARK","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":49623686086884,"sku":"1335402085","price":23.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0831\/9788\/6692\/files\/9788901087351.jpg?v=1786421254"},{"product_id":"내가-좋아하는-새","title":"Birds I Love","description":"Description: Vulture \/ Falcon \/ Common Kestrel \/ Pheasant \/ Oriental Turtle Dove \/ Cuckoo \/ Eurasian Eagle-Owl \/ Owl \/ Oriental Scops Owl \/ Grey Nightjar \/ Dollarbird \/ Hoopoe \/ Great Spotted Woodpecker \/ Skylark \/ Swallow \/ Brown-eared Bulbul \/ Shrike \/ Japanese Waxwing \/ Wren \/ Daurian Redstart \/ Dusky Thrush \/ Bush Warbler \/ Vinous-throated Parrotbill \/ Varied Tit \/ Great Tit \/ Nuthatch \/ Japanese White-eye \/ Yellow-throated Bunting \/ Grey-capped Greenfinch \/ Hawfinch \/ Sparrow \/ Starling \/ Black-naped Oriole \/ Jay \/ Magpie \/ Crow \/ Birds fly in the sky \/ Birds have hard beaks \/ Birds build nests in spring \/ Birds hatch from eggs.\n\nThe world is full of birds. Korea is home to many birds — if you count the migratory birds that pass through with the seasons, there are more than 450 species living here. Even just around the yards of apartment buildings in big cities, you can spot dozens of different species: sparrows, magpies, great tits, brown-eared bulbuls, oriental turtle doves, jays, common kestrels, and more.\n\nHave you ever seen small black-feathered birds fluttering about? Did they have a black necktie-like marking on their chest? If so, that's a great tit — you'll often spot them on the bare branches of winter trees. Have you seen a grayish bird flying to a persimmon tree every morning to find ripe red persimmons? Smaller than a magpie, with a long tail? That's probably a brown-eared bulbul. If it calls out 'bbi-ik bbi-ik,' you can be sure of it.\n\nKorean Birds Every Child Should Know\nThese birds are familiar, friendly faces you can easily spot even in the flowerbeds around apartment complexes. The presence of birds tells us that a region's ecosystem hasn't been too badly damaged. If children grow up knowing birds and feeling close to them, their lives will be so much richer.\n\nKorea's First Children's Bird Encyclopedia\nWhether it's a beak, a leg, a wing, or anything else, every part of a bird is worth observing closely. That's why bird watching calls for a finely detailed encyclopedia that captures every feature with care. This book is filled with delicate illustrations drawn by an artist who spent a long time observing birds in the wild.\n\nRich Ecological Information About Birds\nThis book uses more than 100 vivid illustrations to show the unique characteristics of each bird. Children can learn how a bird's body is structured, how birds build their nests, and what kind of eggs each species lays. Even children encountering birds for the first time, or those who can't read yet, will enjoy this book just like a picture book.\n\n'Birds I Love' was created for young children, but it was carefully researched and verified for accuracy. The detailed illustrations were drawn by the artist based on extensive personal observation. Though it looks like a picture book, it contains rich, in-depth information that adult bird lovers will enjoy as well.","brand":"IBOOKPARK","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":49623686119652,"sku":"1335404049","price":23.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0831\/9788\/6692\/files\/9788901079998.jpg?v=1786421255"},{"product_id":"내가-좋아하는-채소","title":"Vegetables I Like","description":"Description: 'Vegetables I Like' is a detailed illustrated children's guide to vegetables. Children who once nibbled on rose shoots just for their green, tangy bite now turn their attention elsewhere. And what about peaches? The moment the pointed tip begins to blush red, children can't wait to pick and eat them. How wonderful that faint sweetness hidden within the tart flesh! Children spend the whole year waiting for fruits to ripen. This book tells the story of the fruits that children of this land have waited for, generation after generation, since long ago.\n\nOur Fruits, Recorded in Fine Detail\n\nThis book carefully documents 25 varieties of fruit grown in Korea, following them through spring, summer, fall, and winter. Illustrator Son Kyung-hee spent four years researching in the field, creating over 150 detailed scientific illustrations. Just like a picture book, the rich illustrations help children easily understand the story behind each fruit.\n\nThe Ecology and Cultural History Woven into Each Story\n\nAuthor Park Sun-mi, a first-grade homeroom teacher, wrote this book as if telling stories to her own students. She shares tales of scratching her arms and legs on thorny bushes while picking wild raspberries, getting covered in bugs while shaking mulberries from a tree, and eating too many unripe jujubes and ending up with a foamy stomachache. The lovingly rendered, beautiful illustrations bring these animals to life as vividly as photographs. The book provides information about each animal's food, characteristics, classification, and habitat. The back of the book includes special sections: 'Wild Animals Live Here,' 'Let's Go See Wild Animals,' and 'Mammals of Korea.'\n\nThis book features 25 species of native wild animals that call Korea home — from tigers living deep in the forests of Mount Baekdu, to wild boars that occasionally appear in the middle of cities, to squirrels commonly seen in parks. You can meet all kinds of Korean wildlife within these pages. The detailed illustrations, created through careful field research, vividly capture the animals' expressions and movements. Discover fascinating stories about wild animals — like the raccoon dog that piles up dropping after dropping to build a tall dung mound, the flying squirrel that spreads its skin flaps wide to glide between trees, and the otter that splashes and plays in the water or slides on the snow.\n\nNative Wild Animals of the Baekdu-daegan\nThe Baekdu-daegan is the great mountain range that forms the backbone of Korea. Starting at Mount Baekdu and continuing all the way to Mount Jiri, it winds through countless mountains and rivers. This book features 25 species of native wild animals that live throughout the Korean peninsula along this mountain range.\n\nMeet Korea's Wild Animals Through Detailed Illustrations\nWhich animal has jet-black fur around its eyes? Which one has a white rear end? Which fierce-looking animal has plum-blossom-shaped spots on its body? What do Korea's wild animals really look like? Sleek fur, gleaming eyes, curious expressions... Meet Korea's native wild animals through warm, detailed illustrations.\n\nLet's Go See Wild Animals\nSurprisingly, wild animals live closer than you might think. If you're lucky, you might even spot a raccoon dog at Yangjaecheon Stream. Look for signs of wild animals — do you see fresh droppings or newly made footprints? A water deer might even be watching you from the reeds.\n\nAbout the Series\nHobakkot is an imprint of Woongjin Think Big Publishing's Book Division. It carefully creates books filled with words and pictures that capture the preciousness of our natural world.\n\nHobakkot Launches the 'My Favorite' Series\nLearning about nature is the foundation of all learning. And when it comes to understanding the living natural world, there's nothing better than starting with something you love. This is why Hobakkot created the 'My Favorite' series.\n\nDetailed Illustrated Guides Capturing Nature\nEveryone feels happy when they love something — and people who love nature are especially happy. The warm emotions we feel in nature form the foundation for cognitive development. Each book in the 'My Favorite' series contains dozens of warm, delicately detailed illustrations. As children read stories about the animals and plants they love, they will naturally come to learn about the natural world.\n\nHobakkot's Illustrations Are a High-Quality Record\nHobakkot's 'My Favorite' series is made up of beautiful illustrations created with great care and dedication. A single detailed illustration holds a wealth of information. Unlike a photograph, which focuses on just one point, a detailed illustration reveals the full form and color of a subject. That's why detailed illustrations are essential for research on nature and science — and the same is true for children's science books. Every illustration in Hobakkot's 'My Favorite' series was created through careful observation and thorough field research.\n\nRich, In-Depth Ecological Information\nHobakkot's 'My Favorite' series can be read by any child who has learned to read Hangeul. The explanations are short and rhythmic, as if someone were telling the story right beside you. The writers of this book have observed these animals and plants for many years, traveling to find them one by one and experiencing and learning...","brand":"IBOOKPARK","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":49623686349028,"sku":"1335404729","price":23.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0831\/9788\/6692\/files\/8901093731_1.jpg?v=1786421255"},{"product_id":"내가-좋아하는-바다생물-보급판","title":"Sea Creatures I Like","description":"Contents: Sponge \/ Jellyfish \/ Sea Fan Coral \/ Sea Pen (Cockscomb Coral) \/ Abalone \/ Turban Shell \/ Sea Slug \/ Scallop \/ Squid \/ Octopus \/ Shrimp \/ Snow Crab \/ Starfish \/ Sea Urchin \/ Sea Cucumber \/ Sea Squirt \/ Shark \/ Skate \/ Moray Eel \/ Conger Eel \/ Anchovy \/ Pollock \/ Anglerfish \/ Saury \/ Flying Fish \/ Seahorse \/ Rockfish \/ Red Seabream \/ Yellow Croaker \/ Sandfish \/ Hairtail \/ Mackerel \/ Bluefin Tuna \/ Pomfret \/ Flounder \/ Filefish \/ Pufferfish \/ Sea Turtle \/ Whale \/ Meet Them at the Seashore \/ Meet Them at the Fish Market \/ Meet Them at the Aquarium \/ Classification of Sea Creatures \/ Index\n\nThe Naega Joahaneun Series Now in a Handy New Edition!\n\nA beloved bestseller in nature observation picture books, the Naega Joahaneun Series returns in a lighter, more convenient format. Filled with heartfelt writing from an author who truly loves nature, and richly detailed illustrations from an artist devoted to capturing it, this series has long been treasured by parents everywhere. Now you can enjoy the Naega Joahaneun Series in an even more portable form — easy to slip into a backpack for outings, school field trips, or working on vacation homework together as a family. Thinner and lighter, but just as full of wonderful content, the Naega Joahaneun Series is ready to go wherever your child goes, becoming a friendly and fascinating companion for every adventure.\n\nA Detailed Illustrated Guide That Reads Like a Picture Book\n\nThis is the 'Sea Creatures' volume of the Naega Joahaneun Series, a beautifully illustrated field guide that feels just like a picture book. It introduces 39 species of sea creatures that live in or visit the waters around Korea. The ocean is home not only to fish we enjoy eating, like mackerel and saury, but also to countless mysterious creatures — spiky sea urchins, branch-like corals, star-shaped starfish, flying fish that soar above the waves, and the mighty whale, the largest animal on Earth. All are brought to life through over 100 vivid, detailed illustrations, with text written by a marine biologist in a way that's easy and engaging for children to read.\n\nThe Ocean Is the Cradle of Life\n\nWithout the ocean, there would be no life on Earth — after all, life first appeared in the sea. Even today, countless living things continue to thrive beneath its surface.\n\nAmazing Sea Creatures Living in Our Waters\n\nSurrounded on three sides by the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea, Korea's coastal waters are full of wonders: jellyfish drifting like plastic bags, star-shaped starfish, spiky sea urchins, squid shooting through the water like rockets, and gray whales that appear and vanish like ghosts. This book showcases 39 remarkable sea creatures found in Korean waters.\n\nMeet Sea Creatures Up Close\n\nThe local fish market is like a neighborhood marine museum, while the aquarium offers a peek into life beneath the waves. Along the sandy shore, all kinds of sea creatures wash up, turning the beach into a natural specimen room. The sea creatures illustrated by artist Park So-jeong can be found right in your neighborhood fish market, aquarium, or seaside. Set off on an ocean adventure with the engaging explanations of marine biologist Kim Woong-seo as your guide.","brand":"IBOOKPARK","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":49623686381796,"sku":"1335405055","price":20.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0831\/9788\/6692\/files\/9788901216133.jpg?v=1786421257"},{"product_id":"내가-좋아하는-가축","title":"Livestock I Love","description":"Description\n\nOur Farm Animals, Living Alongside Us for Generations\n\nWoof woof, the mutt; moo, the yellow cow; oink oink, the black pig; clip-clop, clip-clop, the Jeju pony... These are our familiar farm animals that have lived alongside our people for a long, long time. Over the course of a year, the author traveled to many places where livestock are raised, from the sheep ranch at Daegwallyeong to the horse pastures of Jeju Island, writing and drawing along the way. This book offers rich information not only about traditional native livestock but also about the pets commonly raised in cities today.\n\nCozy, Warm Animal Illustrations\n\nThe detailed animal illustrations in this book feel wonderfully warm and cozy. The illustrator, Kim Si-young, grew up in the countryside. Raised in Hampyeong, Jeollanam-do, he helped with farm work all the way through high school—plowing rice paddies, weeding fields, and riding cows home. This is likely why the illustrations of farm animals feel especially warm and familiar. He traveled extensively, from the Samyang Ranch at Daegwallyeong to the Jeju pony pastures, to carefully and lovingly create these illustrations.\n\nStories of Animals Woven into Daily Life\n\nHow do dogs help people? How did the village name 'Maljukgeori' come to be? How many teats does a dairy cow have? What animal lives in the rice paddies and helps with rice farming? English edition, then the Korean edition — and back again! The Why? English edition is a direct 1:1 translation of the Korean edition, allowing children to study both versions side by side for effective repeated learning. Through this repetition, kids can naturally absorb not only everyday conversational English but also more challenging scientific terms.\n\n2. Science Workbook\n\nA proven workbook co-developed with McGraw-Hill, the renowned U.S. textbook publisher! Built around Yearimdang's original content, this workbook incorporates McGraw-Hill's expertise in English-language educational materials.\n\nSelf-Checking Through Varied Question Types!\nWith a range of exercises — Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Summary, Speaking, and Puzzle sections — children can check their understanding of the Why? English edition's content. The workbook helps reinforce key vocabulary at a level appropriate for U.S. elementary students, and includes an answer key with explanations so kids can clearly understand the meaning of each example sentence.\n\n3. Vocabulary List\n\nA handy pocket-sized vocabulary list packed with essential words every elementary student should know! Key vocabulary from each chapter of the Why? English edition is selected and presented along with definitions and example sentences. The words are organized to follow the story flow of the Why? English edition, so children can reconstruct the storyline through vocabulary alone. Its compact size makes it easy to carry anywhere.\n\n4. Audio CD\n\nThe entire Why? English edition, brought to life across 3 audio CDs! Listen to the characters' dialogue performed with lively expression by native English-speaking narrators. With these audio CDs alone, children can experience the full content of the Why? English edition while learning accurate native pronunciation — helping to improve not just listening skills, but speaking ability as well.","brand":"IBOOKPARK","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":49623714267364,"sku":"1363978613","price":35.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0831\/9788\/6692\/files\/1270_temp_16878341459210view.jpg?v=1786421378"},{"product_id":"why-과학-11-20번-전10권","title":"Why?
