Description

The number of hours in academy classes does not tell you anything about your child’s math skills.
Studying math leading up to the entrance exam is possible if you build your child's confidence in math.
“My child speaks English well.”
“My child is good at PE.”
It's okay to say things like that, but I'm reluctant to proudly say, "You're good at math." The standards for being good at math are too high.

Do you want your child to be good at math?
If I want to understand the content taught in school, do a semester-long preview, and occasionally challenge myself with advanced problems to build my math confidence, is going to an academy the only option?
Studying math at home is actually much easier than studying English with your mom.
No one knows their child better than their parents and wants them to do well. Only parents, not academy teachers or school teachers, can know what their child lacks and what short-term goals can help increase their child’s sense of accomplishment. That’s why only parents can help their children develop math confidence. Start now to create a math study routine that starts like play and becomes a habit.

Start studying math at home like this
1. Choose a workbook that is appropriate for your child’s level. The standard for choosing a workbook is a correct answer rate of around 70%.
2. For lower grades, solve two pages of calculation and reasoning workbooks per day. For third graders and above, solve two pages of calculation and textbook workbooks per day.
3. Parents do the grading. Have the child solve the wrong problem again, and have time to understand the problem while grading it a second time with the parent. When giving hints to the child, instead of explaining the concept, read three lines of the explanation on the answer sheet and let the child infer the next solution.

The most important principle in studying math at home is
“It’s solved every day.”

The time spent racking your brain and solving problems on your own is what builds math muscle. Help your child experience the joy of thinking and doing things on his own.
Our children's math confidence is possible with the help of parents.
