"Hohoho Pumpkin" unfolds in three main stories. The story begins with the ecology of pumpkins, from growing in a warm breeze with a "hoho hoho" sound to blooming with a "bak!" sound. When the "pumpkin curtain" is lifted with a "ho-ok" sound in a dense pumpkin field, a stage for pumpkins unfolds. The zucchini bursts into laughter with a sound derived from the syllables of their names, such as the baby pumpkin with a "aeh-ho aeh-ho" sound and the zucchini with a "kiki-kiki." When the curtain falls on the stage for all the pumpkins' laughter, the grandmother makes a huge pumpkin porridge with the pumpkins that have become a huge bundle of laughter. As the story continues, the laughter ripens and becomes "hohohopumpkin." Is it the pumpkin that colors laughter?
If the previous work used the popping sound of "dudu" as a point to tell a story about the uses of corn, "Hohoho Pumpkin" uses the sound of "hoho" laughter as a point to vividly unfold the characteristics and uses of pumpkins. The cute zucchini with its cute size and name, the peanut pumpkin with its shy nasal sound, the zucchini that stretches out refreshingly, and the sweet pumpkin that maintains a determined expression. Each pumpkin has a different character, making the story richer. The chatter between the pumpkins and the grandmothers breathes life into the story.
