Author Trina Paulus made spreading hope throughout the world her life's mission, and believed that books were the best way to achieve that goal. Hope for the Flowers was the result of that conviction.\n\nTrina Paulus poured so much care into her work that she personally hand-lettered the text in the English edition. When preparing the official Korean edition, she went so far as to rewrite the preface (though it was ultimately not used) and the author's note, tirelessly working to bring hope to Korean readers facing despair. Filled with the author's genuine care, Hope for the Flowers was officially licensed and first introduced in Korea by Sigongjunior in June 1999, and has continued to bring hope to readers ever since.\n\n▶ Hope for Everyone Struggling Through Today\n\nThis is the story of two caterpillars in search of their true selves and hope. The Yellow Caterpillar seeks something more than simply eating and growing, while the Striped Caterpillar climbs a towering caterpillar column without even understanding what it means, blindly following the others. Eventually, the two caterpillars go their separate ways.\n\nThe Yellow Caterpillar comes to realize that living as a caterpillar is not true living, nor is it the path to discovering her true self. Though frightened, she spins a cocoon and is finally reborn as a beautiful butterfly. Meanwhile, the Striped Caterpillar, having reached the top of the column by ruthlessly climbing over others, is devastated to find that there is nothing there at all. With the help of the Yellow Butterfly, he too spins a cocoon and becomes a butterfly.\n\nThe journey of these two caterpillars becoming butterflies offers dreams, comfort, and encouragement to all who seek their true selves, and gives courage and hope to those standing at the edge of despair to begin again.\n\n▣ Story Summary\n\nThe Striped Caterpillar discovers a towering column made of countless caterpillars and, hoping for a different kind of life, begins to climb it. There, he meets the Yellow Caterpillar. The two give up climbing the column and come back down, spending their days freely eating grass, playing joyfully, and growing closer in love. But as time passes, the Striped Caterpillar becomes increasingly curious about what lies at the top of the column, and eventually leaves the Yellow Caterpillar to climb it once again.\n\nLeft alone, the Yellow Caterpillar wanders aimlessly until she meets an old caterpillar spinning a cocoon to become a butterfly. Inspired, the Yellow Caterpillar dreams of becoming a butterfly herself, spins a cocoon, and is reborn.\n\nMeanwhile, the Striped Caterpillar, having trampled over other caterpillars to reach the top of the column, is shocked to find nothing there at all. At that moment, the Yellow Butterfly appears before him. The Striped Caterpillar follows her, spins his own cocoon, and becomes a butterfly.","brand":"IBOOKPARK","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":49624266047716,"sku":"9788941971146","price":23.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0831\/9788\/6692\/files\/Screenshot-2025-06-06-at-3.59.07_E2_80_AFPM.jpg?v=1786426292","url":"https:\/\/ibookpark.com\/en\/products\/%ea%bd%83%eb%93%a4%ec%97%90%ea%b2%8c-%ed%9d%ac%eb%a7%9d%ec%9d%84","provider":"IBOOKPARK","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
