{"product_id":"난-토마토-절대-안-먹어","title":"I Will Never Not Ever Eat a Tomato","description":"Description\n\nCharlie's parents ask him to fix dinner for his little sister Lola. But Lola is an incredibly picky eater. She won't eat peas, carrots, potatoes, mushrooms, spaghetti, eggs, or sausages. And she absolutely, positively will never eat a tomato. So Charlie comes up with a clever plan to help her. Carrots become 'orange twiglets from Jupiter,' mashed potatoes become 'cloud fluff,' peas become 'green drops,' and fried fish becomes 'ocean nibbles that mermaids eat.' So what could a tomato possibly be? Thanks to her big brother's imagination, Lola ends up having a wonderful time at dinner. This is a wonderful book to read together with parents who struggle at every mealtime. It was also selected as the Best Picture Book of the Year by the British Library Association.\n\nPublisher's Review\n\n\"Mom, I won't eat onions or green onions. And I don't like carrots either.\" The moment dinner is served, the battle between mom and child begins. Every mealtime becomes heavy and exhausting for moms trying to get their picky eaters to enjoy a variety of foods. Children who insist on eating only what they like seem no different whether they're our own kids or Lola from the story. But Charlie's approach to getting picky Lola to eat a variety of foods looks a little different from most parents. Because Lola refuses to eat carrots, peas, potatoes, and fried fish, Charlie comes up with a brilliant idea — he simply renames the foods. The foods Lola once refused to eat become 'orange twiglets from Jupiter,' 'green drops,' 'ocean nibbles,' and 'cloud fluff' — foods so wonderfully named that they make your mouth water just hearing about them. If it's ocean nibbles eaten by mermaids under the sea, or green drops that fall from a green land, or cloud fluff hanging from the peak of a mountain, of course children would be curious enough to want to try a taste. While eating her dinner, Lola gets to travel to Jupiter, visit the ocean where mermaids live, and climb to the top of a mountain. The story of Charlie and Lola beautifully shows what it really looks like for children to enjoy eating a variety of foods with genuine delight. It's not about force-feeding or exhausting yourself with coaxing and pleading — it's about stepping fully into a child's world and having fun together, so that children want to eat on their own. Charlie may be a bit whimsical, but he truly understands his young sister's pure and curious heart. That's why he's able to turn his sister's mealtime into something truly fun and exciting. If more moms tried Charlie's approach, mealtimes that once felt like a struggle between parent and child might become as sweet and delightful as a dream. We hope that this book, which brings to life the amazing world of food, will help make mealtime the happiest part of every child's day.\n\nAbout the Author\n\nAuthor: Lauren Child\n\nBorn in England, author Lauren Child has a gift for finding the kind of material that makes both children and adults laugh, turning it into wonderfully entertaining stories.
