In 1999, she began her career as a children's literature critic with the publication of \"Into the Children of This Era\" in the summer issue of the quarterly Changbi. She is a member of the Society for the Study of Korean Children's and Youth Literature and serves on the editorial board of the quarterly Changbi Children's Books.
