Aiming to become an art critic, he studied philosophy and art history at university, but ultimately found success as an investor on the Paris stock exchange starting in 1920. Until his passing in September 1999, he lived in cities such as Paris, Munich, and the Côte d'Azur, working as a bestselling author and a popular columnist for the financial magazine Capital.\n\nTranslator: Jeong Jin-sang\nHolds a master's and doctoral degree in economics from the University of Hamburg, Germany. He currently serves as a professor in the Department of International Economics at Sun Moon University, as well as Managing Director of the Korean-German Society of Economics and Business Administration and Vice President of the Korean-German Economic Association.
