The ‘My First Philosophy Picture Book’ series for children who ask questions. The main character, Maro, is a curious person who can never stop asking what he wants to know and what he wants to say. Maro doesn't know why there are so many things in the world to do and not to do. Do adults know all the reasons? Are everything adults say true? Maro asks her mother and her father again and again.

“Why do I have to go to a school that isn’t fun?” “What do you do after learning all this?” “Why do you follow the rules when no one is watching?” “Dad, you say lying is bad, so why do you do it?” “Why is it wrong to hit a kid who is mean to me?” 

The questions that Maro asks are questions that any child would agree with and say, “That’s right, that’s right.” However, behind them lie important issues of thought and values, such as school and learning, society and rules, truth and lies, problem solving and violence. The 'My First Philosophy Picture Book' series shows a speaking style tailored to the child's eye level.

In each volume, we have prepared a 'Philosophy with Children' section to provide further thought on the topic, and we have prepared guidelines on what specific conversations to have with children. The article was written by teacher Minmi Park, a ‘philosophical mother’ who has both theory and field experience.

Introduce :	Brigitte Raabe is a writer and Michel Pueck is a professor of philosophy at Sorbonne University. The two worked together on the <Taste of Philosophy> series published by Milan Publishing.

After graduating from the Industrial School of Graphic Arts Estienne in Paris, he worked as a graphic editor and illustrated a variety of children's storybooks. Among his illustrated books, ≪Teacher, why are you doing that?≫ was published in Korea.

Graduated from the Department of French Language and Literature at Seoul Women's University and the Department of Korean and French at the Graduate School of Interpretation and Translation at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. She is currently working as a professional translator who translates and introduces French books of various genres. Her translated books include 『The Betrayal at the Table』, 『Toxins』, 『Coca-Cola Gate』, 『Politics at School』, 『Please Change the Teacher』, 『The Little Philosopher Asking Questions』, and the Penelope series.
