“Don’t be afraid! Keep dreaming!”
Presented by Kim Young-jin, author of the 'Convenience Store' series
A thrilling, thrilling, heart-warming fantasy!
One day, the flutter suddenly disappeared,
Naro and the children are suffering from nightmares.
That's all, the Dark Squadron has taken over Illuria's dream factory,
They say it's because they create nightmares.
To prevent children from dreaming again,
To make you live in fear forever.
The way to end this nightmare is to defeat the dark squadron.
There is only one way to get the dream factory back.
But can I do it alone? Without even fluttering?
Don't be afraid, kids! Keep dreaming! Help me!

개요
It's been a week since Flutter, Narone's dog and a special agent from the imaginary world of Iruria, disappeared. It was around that time that Naro began waking from nightmares and the neighborhood dogs disappeared simultaneously, suggesting something was wrong in Iruria. However, Naro, agonizing over how to get to Iruria on her own, receives a package. Inside the package is a "Tap-Tap Anywhere Button" that allows her to travel anywhere, but only once, and a letter from Flutter, asking her to "come save me." Naro uses the "Tap-Tap Anywhere Button" to arrive at Iruria's Dream Factory. The Dream Factory, where deceased artists once created wonderful dreams, has been taken over by the Dark Squadron and transformed into a nightmare factory that produces nightmares. Flutter has also been captured by the Dark Squadron and is imprisoned somewhere in the Dream Factory. They say that if things continue this way, children all over the world will lose their dreams and live in fear... Can I, alone, without Flutter, defeat the Dark Squadron and protect Flutter and the Dream Factory?

Children all over the world are suffering from nightmares?
These days, I'm obsessed with searching for my missing friend, Flutter. He might just be an ordinary puppy to others, but to me, he's my best friend and family. And... ...Secret to everyone, Flutter is a special agent from the imaginary world of Illuria. He's the most imaginative child in the world. I think I chose Flutter, but the truth is, Flutter chose me.
Meanwhile, the two have been working together to solve problems that arise in the imaginary world. The imaginary world and the real world influence each other, so if there is a problem in one, there is bound to be a problem in the other. It seems like there's a problem this time too, but since there's no flap, there's nothing I can do about it on my own. Every day, I just wake up from nightmares again and again.
Then one day, a suspicious package is delivered to Naro. Inside is a letter and a button that looks like a doorbell. Flutter had prepared for this, knowing something like this would happen. Sure enough, Flutter had been kidnapped by the Dark Flying Squad. The button that looked like a doorbell was the "Tap-Tap Anywhere Button" that would take Naro to Illuria.
Naro presses the button with trembling hands. She's scared to death, but she can't ignore the fluttering sound. At that moment, the elevator she's in begins to shake violently and soar endlessly. It lands her in Illuria's Dream Factory. The Dream Factory is where great artists, having left the real world behind, reside, creating their dreams. It's no exaggeration to say that all the wonderful and beautiful things in the real world come from this factory.
But the Dark Squadron has taken over this dream factory and is churning out nightmares! Because of this, children all over the world are suffering from nightmares. If we leave this alone, children everywhere will lose their dreams and live in fear. What should we do? Without even a single flap of wings, can I defeat the Dark Squadron and reclaim the dream factory on my own?

Don't be scared! Keep dreaming! Light up the world with your dreams!
Everyone has times when they are overcome by fear. When faced with a situation that seems beyond my control, fear often leads to a feeling of despair. Just like me now.
In fact, I am not good enough to become a hero who will save the world. Even when the flutter first revealed its identity and asked for help, I was even more scared. “Why me?” They say the same thing. Although I managed to muster up courage when I heard the fluttering words, “That’s because you are the most imaginative child in the world.”
But now, there's no one to encourage me. The doubts and fears of "Can I do this alone?" snowball, driving me further and further into a corner. This is precisely what the Dark Flying Fleet aims for: to instill fear in children, to turn them into a dark people filled with a sense of defeat, and thus fill the world with despair.
This time, it seemed like the monsters' plan was finally going to work. But just as I was thinking, "This is the end!"... I gathered my remaining courage and came up with an incredibly wonderful (and slightly outlandish) fantasy. And I received an incredibly wonderful reward, worthy of my courage.
Before this book was first published, author Kim Young-jin had an unforgettable experience. It was a wonderful experience to witness his heart clearly reaching children. It was when he carefully opened the book and showed it to a packed elementary school auditorium. The children, holding their breath, were absorbed in Naro's adventure. Then, when the final scene arrived, they all burst into cheers and applause. It seemed they were deeply moved by the sight of a small, helpless child like us, facing immense fear and saving the world with only imagination.
I hope that not only these children, but all children who read this book, never lose the power to dream, no matter the circumstances. I hope they realize that this is the most remarkable ability humans possess. I hope they can continue to dream without fear, no matter what. I hope they will long remember that children's dreams are the light that illuminates the world.

The belief that the world changes from me and because of me
Since his first book, "The Singing Piglet," which he wrote and illustrated, author Kim Young-jin has always been interested in children's imagination. He believes that a healthy imagination is the key to solving the countless problems children face in reality and the power to change their future. Twelve years ago, author Kim Young-jin launched the "Naro and Flutter's Adventures" series to freely express these thoughts. The main character's name, "Naro," stems from his desire to convey to children the belief that "the world can change because of me."
However, since "The Singing Piglet," this is the first picture book in which I have both text and illustrations, and it only recently occurred to me that I may have been overly ambitious in both. I was more eager to convey my thoughts than to consider the children who would read the book. So, in this revised edition, which is being released after 10 years, I changed the format from horizontal to vertical, making it easier for children to hold and open, and I redrawn all the illustrations accordingly. I also trimmed down as much of the text as I could and reworked it. The text and illustrations, which I rewrote with a relaxed attitude, are bright and cheerful, like the new world that children will open up.
The third installment of "Naro and Flutter's Adventures," "Protect the Dream Factory!" has also been fully polished and illustrated, and is nearing publication. If children enjoy reading this new "Naro and Flutter's Adventures" series, they may encounter other adventures of Naro and Flutter. Perhaps the adventures of "Inhae," which were briefly hinted at in the author's previous work, "The Strange Lost and Found," will follow. The world changes with "Naro" and "Inhae," so if there's an adventure for "Naro," there must be an adventure for "Inhae."
At a time when children need more healthy imagination for the new world they will inhabit, I'm especially excited to introduce the new "Naro and Flutter's Adventures" series. I hope children will join Naro on his adventures through Iruria and discover the boundless power within themselves.
