Pink Rabbit Chuseok

"Pink Rabbit's Chuseok," the fifth volume in the "Alkongdalgong Our Holidays" series, introduces readers to our traditional culture and customs through engaging stories. This book tells the story of a pink rabbit who comes to Silver Village in search of a pestle and explores the village. While pounding rice cakes under a cinnamon tree, the rabbit accidentally loses the pestle. Coming back to the village, the rabbit witnesses the diverse sights of Chuseok, including weeding ancestral graves, families making songpyeon (rice cakes) and preparing food, performing ancestral rites, and playing tug-of-war. These engaging stories, led by representative animals or characters associated with each holiday, help children understand the holiday with interest and reflect on its meaning. The back of the book also includes a compilation of information and knowledge, complete with photos and illustrations, that reinforce the text.
