Description

Book introduction

This picture book depicts a child trying to get dressed on his own. Since it is a subject that all children have experienced at least once, they feel familiar with it and become interested in the story.
The main character in the picture book becomes the child himself, repeating words such as hands, feet, head, eyes, nose, etc. with his mouth and imitating his actions.
Through this book, children experience firsthand the joy that picture books bring. The picture with green and orange as the main colors also looks warm. So the atmosphere of the book naturally seeps into the child's emotions.

The author of this picture book is Akiko Hayashi, a Japanese painter whose works have been introduced in our country. Akiko Hayashi has won several awards in Japan for her picture books, and many of her works have been introduced in the United States and France. His picture books are popular among parents and children in our country.

publisher review

This is a daily life picture book that naturally teaches children about the structure of the body through the process of dressing.
It teaches your baby a sense of accomplishment through the process of dressing themselves, in that order: hands, head, face, and feet. Akiko Hayashi's special talent - the children's expressions are vivid.

media book review

Children's Book Research Group:

This is a life picture book depicting a young child trying to wear clothes on his own. You can learn the words hand, foot, and head one by one while watching the scene of getting dressed. As you turn the pages of the picture book, you can gradually taste the development and climax of the text. This is a book that well describes the behavior and mind of a toddler who tries to do anything on his own.

Good books selected by Hanuri:

Akiko Hayashi's illustrations of cute, plump children make anyone feel like they are looking at their own baby. The baby is wearing the big mommy's shirt by himself, and he feels proud every time the hand, head, face, and foot come out one by one. Even though he seems to be grumpy because of the last foot, the baby's bright face is so adorable when he finally succeeds.
