God's continued challenge and promise came to my life. And in the midst of my response of faith, waiting, and journey of patience, my desire to live as a person who pleases God grew little by little. My life's direction and enthusiasm disappeared, and I began to desire that God's will be done in me. Page 8

It is amazing that we have been able to enjoy God’s faithful guidance and protection through all the changes in our journey. My family and I have been able to experience and actually know what it is like to have peace in God alone. Page 17

While I was praying, I thought I heard a very sad cry in my ears.
'God, what is this crying sound?'
A feeling came to my heart that 'God is crying out to these people.'
'Oh, God was crying too. He was crying so desperately over such insignificant lives as ours!' Page 45

I realized that the reason God established the school in an impossible situation was because He had a special plan to bring about good changes in the children He loves through our school. Page 114

'Oh, God is not giving me this hardship to make me suffer. He is asking me to do it because he thinks I can go through it with a smile. God is not giving me this burden to make me suffer.' Page 220

Of course, God's thoughts do not come to us only when we choose faith. God's thoughts can also penetrate us in moments of failure and wandering. Therefore, it is necessary to continuously confirm the direction that God has given us in the course of life. Page 241

This book is ultimately about the 'faithfulness of God'. God is faithful and we can entrust our lives to him. David likened God to a shepherd. Abraham and David, who lived the journey of fulfilling God's promise, also lived the life of a shepherd. Page 265

Testifying to the fulfillment of God's amazingly faithful promises!

God designs our lives, makes special plans, and gives each of us a ‘promise.’ And regardless of whether it is big or small, certain or vague, He will surely bless those who look forward to the promise and live their lives keeping their faith. The young man who said he would devote himself to the mission field for only two years after completing his doctorate at Harvard University has spent over 2 years in the mission field. During that time, he had to move to different countries nine times. Despite the extreme climate, deteriorating health, threats from people, and financial difficulties, what he never let go of was God’s promise. Of course, living a life of waiting for the promise was accompanied by long waiting, patience, and bitter pain. The author confesses that he wrote this book to help those who have collapsed in front of the seemingly insurmountable wall of reality by testifying to the process of learning about God, growing in faith, and learning about the growth of character and maturity in relationships through that time.
