“I didn’t overcome hardships.
“I’m feeling happy by finding joy in the midst of hardship.”

After being diagnosed with paralysis due to an unexpected accident
Via 38 YouTube channel 〈WERACLE〉
Park Wi’s miraculous story that spreads hope!

“You will never be able to walk again. “You will never be able to move your fingers.”
A spring day as a 28-year-old youth when everything seemed perfect. He is diagnosed with paralysis due to an unexpected accident. It wasn't a dream. His body didn't move. Just like that, everything stopped. But he thought. ‘Full body paralysis? You can't walk forward? No, I can wake up. I will definitely wake up.'

The passion to achieve a miracle was burning in a corner of his heart, but there were too many things he had to overcome. He was unable to dress and undress, eat, defecate, or even get out of bed in the morning. It took time to accept my condition, which had changed from before.

But he didn't give up. He started trying what he could. Except when it rained or snowed, he went to the Han River almost every day and exercised by pushing his wheelchair. After many failed attempts, he succeeded in putting the suppository on his own. He worked hard to remove the wheelchair and put it in the car. That's how he won the war against frustration.

Delivering hope through YouTube channel 〈Weracle〉

In the prayer room of the rehabilitation hospital, he decides, ‘I want to become a person who gives hope to people.’ But he couldn't think of a way to give hope. Then one day, a thought suddenly occurred to me as if a light on the stand turned on. I decided to create YouTube as a way to meet many people regardless of time and place.

The name of the YouTube channel is WERACLE, a combination of his own name, 'We' meaning 'us', and 'Miracle' meaning miracle. It was a name that could show people that the life he was experiencing was already a miracle, and also convey the meaning that that miracle exists in all of us. He began uploading content that only he could create, one by one. The response was beyond expectations. Many people found comfort and hope through his videos.

He doesn't stop at just uploading videos. He spoke on the phone with those who sent him messages or visited them in person to convey their courage. People regain their will to live just by seeing him come visit them in a wheelchair. And he decides that he too wants to be hope for someone else. Now, the number of subscribers to 〈Weracle〉 has increased so much that it is impossible to meet everyone in person, but the author dreams that the subscribers of 〈Weracle〉 will band together and provide strength to each other.

“The miracle is your life itself”

He says that after getting injured, he was able to feel gratitude and happiness in everyday life. He said that he came to realize that the daily life that he took for granted in the past was not at all natural and that it was a life like a miracle. Now he confesses that he cannot live even a day without a wheelchair, but that this imperfect life has made him realize the true happiness and value of his life.

And now he speaks to us. The daily life we live now is a miracle, so let’s live and experience a ‘miracle’ together today too… .

When a vertebra is broken, the spinal nerves, like telephone cables that connect the brain and limbs, are severed. In particular, if the cervical nerves are damaged due to a neck injury, severe quadriplegia occurs, causing loss of use of the limbs. Young Park Wi had poor finger strength, so there were few things he could do on his own, especially urinating and cleaning up after himself. He and I wondered together whether he could succeed in intermittent catheterization, which involves inserting a thin tube into the urethra to drain urine, and I remember the day when we were both happy when he finally succeeded after months of effort. I would recommend this book to every spinal cord patient I see. This is because the pain and despair felt in the early stages of injury and the courageous process of overcoming it are recorded very vividly.

This book is easy and fun to read, but it touches your heart deeply. Sometimes it tells heartbreaking stories, but rather than being sad, it heals the heart. It is an amazing book that I opened the bookcase to read just a little bit and ended up reading it all in one go. It feels intimate and real, as if you are actually watching the author's broadcast. I hope that through this book, you will realize that my seemingly ordinary day is a miracle to someone else, and that gratitude and joy will be restored.
– Sujeong Lee (Eponet Co., Ltd., CEO of ‘Cherry’ donation platform)

As the miracle of walking, seeing, hearing, drinking, and thinking occurred every day, people began to call the 'miracle' 'daily life.' Among those who mistake miracles for everyday life, there is a young man who realized that our daily life is a miracle. Weracle… A miracle for all of us... .
– Lee Young-pyo (CEO of Gangwon FC, former national soccer player)

The author took the subject matter of despair and sadness, helplessness and shame, failure and frustration, loss and pain, and wrote each chapter with themes of hope and freedom, the confidence that one can do it, and the joy of togetherness. This is a book where you can fully feel his charm and power. I believe that the book of Brother Wi Park, who did not overcome obstacles and hardships but chose life and happiness and became a miracle every day, will present a miracle to all of us. We hope that his life, which shows growth beyond recovery and creates something new, will shine in the hearts of readers.
– Lee Ji-seon (Professor at Handong University, author of “I Love You Ji-seon”)

You know ‘Bakwi’, right? Everyone around me is a fan of Park Wi, no matter what. If there is someone who doesn't know him, how would I explain him? He was diagnosed with paralysis, and yet he was such a positive and good influence that it was not felt to be disabled... . no. To put it more honestly, the stomach is just so cool. The disability only helps, and his true character shines brighter. His manners, emotions, energy, and speedy handling of people are all wonderful. I really can't even imitate him. However, this book feels like reading the explicit overcoming diary above, which was just nice to look at. If you like the <Weracle> channel, you will read it, but even if you don't know, I recommend the <Weracle> channel and the book together. And I hope that miracle-like confirmation will happen to everyone who is expecting it.
– Choi Kang-hee (actor)

A young man who has overcome a death worse than death makes a choice with amazing boldness. That beautiful soul chose light in darkness, joy in suffering, and life over death. When the Lord who loves him leads, he experiences miracles through spiritual determination. As he records those eight years, he once again calls up an experience that goes beyond death. To share, to give strength. Filled with hope and love, his wheelchair cheerfully rushes across borders to wherever he is needed.
