Book introduction

‘Hevruta’ refers to Jewish education that involves pair questioning, conversation, discussion, and debate. This book is a children's picture Bible incorporating Hevruta. Professor Jeon Seong-su, a Hevruta education expert, and Korean authors came up with this after six years of research. It contains over 6 questions for Hevruta so that parents and children can easily have conversations at home.

After graduating from Seoul National University of Education, I taught children as an elementary school teacher for 10 years. He majored in education at Seoul National University Graduate School and received secondary school teacher certification. He graduated from Korea National University of Education Graduate School and Hongik University Graduate School and received a doctorate in education. He currently serves as a professor in the Department of Early Childhood Education at Bucheon National University. During his 30 years of teaching experience, he realized the serious reality of Korean education while experiencing various fields ranging from early childhood education, elementary education, secondary education, and university education. Since 2006, I have read thousands of books on children's education in earnest, visited Israel twice to study Jewish education as a way to supplement the chronic problems of Korean education, and studied Jewish homes, synagogues, and schools in the United States. In the meantime, he has worked as the director of the Havruta Education Research Institute, the director of the Havruta Education Institute, and the executive director of the Shema Education Society, and has consistently introduced Jewish education, especially its core, Havruta education, through various media such as broadcasts and newspapers.
