Description

Book introduction

Don't cry hastily, but speak your mind clearly.
A picture book that helps infants and toddlers who are not good at expressing themselves communicate.

This is a picture book that helps raise children to express their thoughts clearly. Many children whine or cry when they want to play with their friends or have a toy at the playground. The main character, Baby Bear, also bursts into tears before solving all the problems he encounters in his daily life.

However, in the same situation as Baby Bear, the friend solves the problem by saying appropriate words rather than crying. This book helps children realize that if they just cry without speaking, no one will understand their feelings or thoughts, and nothing can be resolved. In this way, we will help children improve their language expression and teach them how to respond when they encounter situations, helping them communicate correctly.

Author introduction

Author: Lee Chan-gyu
Currently a professor of Korean language and literature at Chung-Ang University and a language communication expert. He has been mainly interested in uncovering the meaning of language, studying linguistic communication, and teaching linguistic communication. Among them, we thought it was especially important to develop the ability to communicate smoothly with others from a young age, so we planned the 'Baby Communication' series, a language communication education book for young children. The first book in the 'Baby Communication' series, 'Speak, Don't Cry', is a book that points out problems with children's language expression and teaches them how to deal with each situation. By featuring a baby bear who starts crying every now and then, it teaches children who whine or throw tantrums to get what they want how to express their thoughts clearly in words. The second book in this series, 『Tell me why』, is a book that shows how frustrating the words 'I don't like' and 'I don't know', which are the words most frequently used by children, are to the other person, and emphasizes the importance of expressing one's thoughts clearly. am. It helps children develop their thinking skills and form smooth interpersonal relationships by practicing speaking after thinking about 'why' rather than making their claims through instinctive and simple emotional expressions.
