Description

What is different about 『This is Korea』 from the flood of Korea-related information books?

A more universal and honest story about Korea

There are many books introducing Korea to foreigners, but there are still many foreigners who do not know much about Korea and Koreans. For a long time, the image of Korea and Koreans was often distorted or misperceived as its status was obscured between the giant China and the economic powerhouse Japan.
In that sense, this book goes beyond simply conveying general information about Korea and strives to introduce Korea and Koreans by covering a wide range of topics from a foreigner's perspective and from a balanced perspective. In addition, I tried to talk in a friendly and honest way about Korea, where tradition and modernity are alive, in a tone as if a Korean friend was telling the story directly.
『This is Korea』 is expected to be the ideal gift for travelers visiting Korea, foreigners residing in Korea, and everyone who wants to know about Korea.

Ambassador of New Zealand to Korea HE Jane Coombs
