Description
Book Introduction
The original YWAM DTS (Discipleship Training School) finance course textbook, offering an in-depth reinterpretation of the biblical principles of Kingdom finance.
This book speaks to readers who want to understand biblical teaching and apply it to their lives, showing how the principles and truths of God's Kingdom can revolutionarily transform our lives. It emphasizes that when we learn about money in order to live according to the Kingdom's proper perspective, we can manage our finances faithfully and apply God's Kingdom principles of finance to our daily lives.
This book captures in written form the acclaimed "Biblical Financial Principles" course taught by well-known instructors at YWAM's DTS (Discipleship Training School). It distinguishes between the meanings of Wealth, Riches, and Money, and approaches the spiritual currents behind them—along with the issue of "possessions and money," the very area in which God's people must first find victory, yet which is also the most vulnerable—from the perspective of God's Kingdom. With editing that stays close to the original text, this book will keep readers thoroughly engaged from start to finish.

Inside the Book
"Prosperity" means becoming excellent, or rising to the highest place. Therefore, to "prosper" means to advance to the highest place in whatever we desire—whether in spirit, soul, body, relationships, or finances. What matters most here is what we desire, because what we desire can be either good or evil.
--- p.115
Once again, many people try to apply a principle only on the surface, without understanding the wisdom behind it. Of course, tithing must be done. Yet some Christians place their trust in the principle that tithing brings blessing, rather than in God the Provider Himself. But remember: the answer to your financial struggles lies in your relationship with Jesus Christ, and in your trust toward God.
--- p.159
Therefore, tithing is not truly for God's sake—it is for yours. God's purpose is not to take your money, but simply to use it as one way of planting in your heart a "sparrow faith" that sees God as your Provider.
