I like the trees that fill the sky, the trees by the river, and the trees growing on the hills. The trees that make up the forest beautify everything in the world, and even a single tree with leaves is wonderful. In autumn, I play in the falling leaves, roll around, build houses, and make bonfires. I like that trees have trunks and branches. I can climb a tree to see far away and get lost in thought. Cats climb up and down the trees, and birds make their nests in the trees. I like that trees can hold swings and that I can lean my hoe against them while I work. I can rest in the shade of a tree, enjoying picnics and naps. Houses near trees are cool and safe from the wind. I like that I can plant trees and watch them grow little by little.
