Customized sex education for our children, organized by age and gender As sex crimes have recently become a pressing social issue, the need for timely, appropriate sex education has become even more urgent. In an era when society and culture increasingly seek to destabilize sexual identity, Biblically grounded sex education has become absolutely essential. The problem is that even though many parents and teachers recognize this need, the topic of "sex education" still feels uncomfortable and awkward to discuss, leaving many unsure of where or how to begin. There is real concern that children may pick up incorrect information about sex through social media or the internet before they ever receive proper guidance. The 'Biblical Sex Education Series for Our Children' was created out of these very concerns. Recognizing the era's calling to expand a healthy culture of sexuality, the Christian Institute for Sexual Ethics—founded with the support of Bundang Woori Church (Pastor Lee Chan-soo)—partnered with Kyujang Publishing to create resources that allow parents to provide age-appropriate, Biblically grounded sex education to their precious children from an early age. This series is divided into five stages by age, ranging from early childhood—when children first become curious about the differences between boys and girls—through adolescence, when concrete and accurate knowledge about sexuality becomes essential. Each stage is also divided by gender, allowing families to choose the book that best fits their child. While this book cannot provide every piece of knowledge about sexuality, it offers a clear, Biblically grounded guide while also creating an opportunity for parents or teachers to have honest, natural conversations with their children. [Series Introduction] Biblical Sex Education Series for Our Children The Christian Institute for Sexual Ethics, established with the support of Bundang Woori Church (Senior Pastor Lee Chan-soo), was founded on Reformed theological principles with the mission of establishing a Biblical sexual ethic for the next generation. In the midst of a culture that distorts Biblical values and promotes sexual deviation from God's created order, this organization upholds Scripture as the sole standard of truth, helping people view life's issues through a Biblical lens. It also seeks to present a model of a healthy family in order to help raise the next generation to live joyfully. In keeping with its founding mission to teach the gospel and God's Word, the Institute discovered and reviewed the 'Learning About Sex Series,' published by the well-known American Christian publisher Concordia Publishing House, and introduced it in Korea under the name 'Biblical Sex Education Series for Our Children.' Many Christian parents and teachers today find themselves deeply concerned about when and how to provide sex education, as children seem to grow up faster than ever before. The 'Biblical Sex Education Series for Our Children' was created with these concerns in mind. Divided into five stages from early childhood through adolescence, the series conveys the facts that children at each age need to know, grounded in God's plan of creation. A key feature of this series is that it is organized both by age group and by gender, with separate books for boys and girls, enabling truly customized sex education. We hope this series will have a positive influence on establishing a healthy culture of sexuality within the Korean church.
