About the author: Born in 1962 in South Africa, Chris Riddell studied illustration at the University of Brighton. In 1997, his collaboration with Catherine Cave, Something Else, won the UNESCO Award. He partnered with author Paul Stewart to illustrate the Edge Chronicles series, and won the Kate Greenaway Medal in 2002 for Pirate Diary and again in 2004 for Jonathan Swift's Gulliver. He currently also works as a political cartoonist and lives with his family in Brighton. About the translator: Born in Seoul, Ko Jung-ah graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in English Literature and works as a translator.
