Children's Hunminjeongeum
'Children's Hunminjeongeum' has received positive feedback from teachers and parents since its first publication in 2002, aimed at improving elementary students' vocabulary. It has been revised with each new textbook release, and the 4th revised edition reflects the content of the new textbooks that will be applied starting in 2024.
Language is an essential tool for communication and expressing one's thoughts. The basic unit of language is vocabulary. Therefore, the quantitative and qualitative improvement of vocabulary is a crucial factor in enhancing children's learning abilities. All subject learning and the assessments of that learning are conducted through language. Thus, vocabulary is not just a part of Korean language study but a fundamental and essential element of all learning.
This textbook selects necessary vocabulary by grade and organizes various problem formats to help children learn in an easy and enjoyable way. Through this textbook, we hope that children will find interest in vocabulary learning and gain confidence, guiding them in their subject studies as well as in proper Korean language use.
The '4th Revised Edition of Children's Hunminjeongeum' has the following features:
1. It follows the new curriculum content to be used from 2024.
2. It is a vocabulary learning textbook tailored to the curriculum progress by grade. While the basic structure follows the Korean language curriculum table of contents, it also includes many key vocabulary from other subjects that are essential for that grade.
3. It includes not only essential vocabulary found in textbooks but also important vocabulary outside of textbooks, making it comprehensive.
4. It allows for practical learning of vocabulary, spelling, pronunciation, spacing, manuscript paper usage, and basic grammar.
