On stage, any magic can happen!
A fantastic coming-of-age story by Son Won-pyeong and artist Manmul Sang, the 'Dazzling Fox Tail' series returns with its fifth installment after becoming a bestseller shortly after its release in 2021, praised as a story that awakens readers to love themselves as they are. In the previous volumes, the protagonist Danmi faced her inner self and grew a little with the 'Tail of Direction', 'Tail of Friendship', 'Tail of Courage', and 'Tail of Fire'. In 'The Dazzling Fox Tail 5: The Miracle Stage Full of Starlight', she encounters a uniquely charming fifth tail. Author Son Won-pyeong, who captivated over a million readers with novels like 'Almond' and 'Tube', embodies the concept of 'style'—mysterious and ethereal yet ever-present around us—as the 'Stylish Tail', weaving Danmi's dramatic exploits on stage into a fantastic nine-tailed fox fantasy. Manmul Sang, known for the webtoons 'Sock Goblin' and 'Waiting at the Place Where the Shooting Star Falls', delicately and creatively illustrates the dramatic stories unfolding on the theater stage and among the characters in this fifth volume.
The tails sometimes appear as aspects that Danmi does not want to acknowledge, and at other times, they show themselves to be much stronger than she had imagined, actively engaging in various situations. The 'Dazzling Fox Tail' series is a fantastic coming-of-age story where Danmi discovers that every part of herself—whether she dislikes it, is proud of it, or finds it mysterious—is all part of who she is.

To truly discuss style, 364 days and 365 days are not enough!
A story about finding one's true style
The Korean dictionary describes the word 'style' as 'the way of dressing, behavior, and demeanor that is refined and beautiful' and 'noble dignity or charm'. However, the range of what we imagine as 'style' is much broader and more diverse than that definition. In 'The Dazzling Fox Tail 5: The Miracle Stage Full of Starlight', the lively fifth tail defines style as 'something mysterious and ethereal, yet it must not be merely mysterious. It cannot just be honest, nor can it be just pretty.' Ultimately, what is essential in achieving style is harmony, that is, harmony. 'When everything blends together just right, it shines subtly and exquisitely, like a delicious dish'—this is the essence of style. With the message from the fifth tail and the amazing power of the fox bead, Danmi plays a crucial role in helping Yunna and other children resolve conflicts and cooperate harmoniously. Readers will have the opportunity to joyfully ponder what 'wonderful things' they can achieve, seeing Danmi shine on stage even as an extra. The scene where Yunna beautifully weaves an encore while shedding tears, thanks to Danmi's wonderful efforts, will provide great emotional impact to readers of 'The Dazzling Fox Tail 5'.
"On stage, everyone becomes special!"
A captivating growth story for both adults and children to read together
'The Dazzling Fox Tail' is filled with topics for parents to discuss with their children, including the dramatic changes in self-identity that come with adolescence, the big and small conflicts with friends, and relationships with mom and dad. The dynamic relationships between characters are realistic and exciting, making 'The Dazzling Fox Tail' a great guide for parents who want to understand the worries and struggles their growing elementary school children face. When Danmi, who thought she could take it easy since she was cast as an extra, is subtly reminded by her mother why even the smallest roles deserve her best effort, it conveys how special the energy of love shared in secret between a mother and child can be. Adults who read this book with their children will become supporters who share in their child's daily life and concerns, just like Danmi's mother.
Leia's scheme to take away Danmi's most precious thing has failed. How much does her old classmate Jian, who rescued Danmi from crisis, know about the secrets of the nine-tailed fox? What amazing powers will the newly inherited fox bead bestow upon Danmi? The charming everyday life and urgent concerns of children blend seamlessly with the nine-tailed fox fantasy in 'The Dazzling Fox Tail', which will continue to be published.
