Description Read poet Ko Un's children's poems in both Korean and English at the same time! "ChaRyong's Kiss (Korean-English Edition)" features the work of Ko Un, a globally celebrated poet of our time who has even been nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature. Since becoming a poet in 1958 at the age of 25, he has published over 150 books, and his poetry has been translated and widely recognized in more than 20 countries around the world. This is his only collection of children's poems. This book carefully selects 33 poems that fully capture the author's characteristic warmth and love for children. The illustrations are by Lee Uk-bae, an artist honored on the IBBY Honour List and an essential figure in the history of picture books, whose art gently embraces children's hearts. The poems are centered on themes of home, family, and school life, arranged so that children can enjoy a warm, cozy reading experience together with their families. Notably, the Korean text appears first, followed by the English translation, allowing not only Korean children but children around the world to read and enjoy the book together. The English translation was done by Distinguished Professor Brother Anthony of Taizé (An Sonjae) of Dankook University, winner of the Korea Translation Award for Literature, together with Professor Lee Sang-hwa of Chung-Ang University.
