Description Gitan Chinese Characters is a program designed to build a systematic foundation in hanja learning, progressing from basic Chinese characters to sentences from classic literary works. Developed within the scope of the 900 Chinese characters used in middle school education, the program is structured to guide learners step by step: from the Character (individual hanja) course, to the Vocabulary (textbook hanja words) course, and finally to the Sentence (textbook sentences) course. Among these, the Character (individual hanja) course is organized into 4 levels (A, B, C, and D), comprising a total of 16 books over 64 weeks. This course is designed for learners ranging from young children just beginning to learn hanja to elementary school 3rd graders, helping them master 168 basic Chinese characters built on easy concepts such as pictographs and simple ideograms. A key feature of the Character course is its variety of supplementary materials that incorporate play-based learning, along with refined design and illustrations—setting it apart from traditional hanja textbooks and delivering a more engaging learning experience.
