Description: This book is filled with cheerful mishaps starring Kkojiri, a girl who gets covered in dirt again within thirty minutes no matter how much she bathes, and her dog Mungchi. The everyday chaos they stir up is sure to bring big laughs to readers. The book contains a total of six stories. Although Kkojiri and Mungchi's Noisy Day was first published in the Netherlands in 1973, even more than thirty years later it feels completely natural and never childish to today's young readers—it's a story that transcends time and place to win the hearts of children everywhere. The illustrations, which humorously capture the characters' actions and expressions, are especially memorable. The author, Annie M. G. Schmidt, was awarded the Hans Christian Andersen Award in 1988.
Stories included:
Locked in the Attic
A Flood of Bubbles
A Shaved Head
Off to a Wedding
Mom Is Sick
Auntie's Birthday
