Description: Korea's first number and operations learning set featuring Saypen technology! No more boring worksheet-only math practice! Kids can touch, count, and play games to joyfully learn the concepts and principles of numbers and operations.
▶ Introduction
Kkumuli Number & Operations is Korea's first number and operations learning set to use Saypen technology. It's a fresh, new concept in learning materials that lets children touch and count real objects, tap them with the Saypen, and learn math concepts through playful games. In addition to simply reading text aloud, the Saypen provides guided solutions and hints when tapped on workbook problems, and generates over 500 different number and operations questions in a game-like format when tapped on the game buttons of the board materials. It also includes video lessons accessible via Saycow and QR codes, so children can easily watch instructional videos for every activity on a smartphone, TV, or YouTube.
*This product does not include a Saypen. The game feature requires Saypen 800 series or higher.
▶ Set Contents (17 Types Total)
Includes: 1 Playbook, 3 Workbooks, 4 Types of Number/Operations Boards, 5 Types of Number/Operations Tiles (19 pieces total), 2 Types of Bolkki Counters (10 red, 10 blue), 1 Ten-Sided Die, 1 Board Game Mat
1. Playbook: The main teaching guide covering the full learning flow, including number concepts and game instructions.
2. Workbooks: A set of 3 books designed to work alongside the Playbook, offering a variety of problem formats — including question types found in elementary school textbooks.
3. Number/Operations Boards: Four boards — the Gather & Split Board, the Line-Up Board, the Calculation Board, and the Do-Re-Mi Board — are innovative game tools that generate questions when tapped with the Saypen. Used during the Playbook's number play activities, they include over 500 varied number and operations problems.
4. Number/Operations Tiles: Five types of square tiles — Number Tiles, Dot Tiles, Operation Tiles, Inequality Tiles, and Lucky Tiles — used on the number boards or individually during Playbook and board game activities.
5. Bolkki Counters: Hands-on counting tools shaped for easy handling by little hands, included as 10 red and 10 blue pieces (20 total).
6. Ten-Sided Die: A die that generates various number combinations from 0 to 9, with numbers engraved on each of its 10 faces.
7. Board Game Mat: Once children become comfortable with number concepts, they can enjoy board games with family or friends to build a closer relationship with math. Game instructions aligned with the curriculum are included in the Playbook. The front features a Number & Operations Ladder Game, and the back features a Number Bingo Game.
8. Level 1 Set Storage Box: A box is provided to store all books and materials neatly. Help build good habits by having children tidy away the Playbook, Workbooks, tiles, and boards after each use.
▶ Features
1. Three Special Features of Kkumuli Number & Operations
Listen to the friendly and fun video lessons from Teacher Kkumi, place the learning tools according to the questions generated by the smart boards for an exciting game experience, and repeat the varied problem types in the workbooks — before you know it, your child's number and operations skills will grow by leaps and bounds!
① Smart number and operations tools that generate questions with a simple Saypen tap
② A comprehensive set covering all problem types found in 1st grade elementary math textbooks
③ Friendly video lessons from Teacher Kkumi that make learning concepts and play methods easy and enjoyable
2. Kkumuli Number & Operations Teaching Process and Strengths
1) Build number sense through the [Concrete – Semi-Concrete – Abstract] teaching process!
When learning to calculate 3+2, children first count concrete objects like apples, then gradually move to counting or drawing semi-concrete circles. As they become more comfortable with number concepts, they can perform calculations using abstract numbers alone. Kkumuli Number & Operations incorporates this teaching process into a variety of learning tools and materials in many different ways
