Customized sex education for our children, tailored by age and gender With sexual crimes becoming an increasingly prominent social issue, the need for timely, appropriate sex education has never been more emphasized. In particular, in a society and culture that seeks to unsettle sexual identity, biblical sex education has become absolutely essential. The challenge is that even though many parents and teachers recognize this need, the topic of 'sex education' still feels uncomfortable and awkward, leaving them unsure of where and how to begin teaching their children. There is real concern that before proper sex education can take place, children may end up absorbing incorrect information through social media or the internet. The 'Our Children's Biblical Sex Education Series' was created out of this very concern. Recognizing the era's call to expand a healthy culture of sexuality, the Christian Institute for Sexual Ethics — established with the support of Bundang Woori Church (Pastor Chan-soo Lee) — has joined together with Kyujang Publishing to help parents guide their precious children through age-appropriate, biblically grounded sex education from an early age. This series is divided into five stages by age, from early childhood, when children first become curious about the differences between boys and girls, through adolescence, when they need clear and accurate knowledge about sexuality. Each stage is also divided by gender, allowing families to choose the book that best fits their child's needs. While this book cannot cover every aspect of 'sex,' it offers clear, biblically grounded guidance and creates a natural, honest opportunity for parents or teachers to talk openly with their children. [Series Introduction] Our Children's Biblical Sex Education Series The Christian Institute for Sexual Ethics, established with the support of Bundang Woori Church (Senior Pastor Chan-soo Lee), was founded on the mission of building a biblical sexual ethic in the next generation, rooted in Reformed faith. In a culture where sexual deviation runs counter to God's created order and biblical values are often distorted, the Institute presents the Bible as the sole standard of truth, helping people view life's issues through a biblical lens. It also promotes a vision of healthy family life to help raise the next generation to flourish and thrive. In keeping with its founding purpose of teaching the gospel and God's Word, the Institute discovered and supervised the adaptation of the 'Learning About Sex Series,' published by the respected American Christian publisher Concordia Publishing House, and introduced it in Korea under the title 'Our Children's Biblical Sex Education Series.' Watching children grow up faster than parents ever expected, many Christian parents and teachers deeply wrestle with the question of 'when and how' to provide sex education. The 'Our Children's Biblical Sex Education Series' was created with these concerns in mind. Divided into five stages from early childhood through adolescence, it shares the facts that children at each age need and want to know, all grounded in God's design and purpose in creation. A key feature of this series is that it is organized both by age and by gender, with separate books for boys and girls, so that each child can receive sex education tailored specifically to them. We hope this series will have a positive impact on establishing a healthy culture of sexuality within the Korean church.
