Description An instant bestseller! The long-awaited successor to Diary of a Wimpy Kid has finally arrived! - Kirkus Reviews Voted the Funniest Book of 2024 by UK elementary students - Leicester Libraries ■ Stranded on a deserted island with the unbearable Marvin—Wednesday brings the worst adventure of Justin's life! While flying with Marvin, Justin accidentally presses the emergency escape button. The two end up stranded on a deserted island with not a single other person in sight—and, of all people, Justin is stuck there with the one person he can't stand: Marvin! Justin and Marvin discover an unexpected common interest—they both love the Three Kangaroo Brothers—and start to warm up to each other. But it doesn't take much for them to start fighting again, and Marvin wastes no time getting back to teasing Justin at every turn. After stumbling upon a treasure map on the beach, Justin and Marvin set off toward a treasure cave in search of gold, facing one disaster after another along the way. They get bitten by bugs, have their blood sucked by leeches while sitting by a pond, tumble headfirst into a rushing water tunnel, and get chased by a terrifying shark... Just where is this island that has become the site of the worst adventure of Justin's life? Will Justin manage to escape the island safely and make it back home? The Worst Week of My Life series follows Justin through a chaotic week full of absurd mishaps, told with a warm and deadpan sense of humor. Justin shares a name with the world-famous pop star Justin Chase, but unlike the famous singer, he's just an ordinary kid. Still, Justin has a family who loves him—even if they're often embarrassing and troublesome! His new friend Mia is also firmly on his side. Meanwhile, his rivalry with Marvin, the insufferable class president, only deepens. On Wednesday night, while Justin is relaxing in a luxurious hotel room, an unexpected visitor shows up... And when Thursday morning arrives, Justin is finally set to appear on the famous TV show 'Rise and Shine!'
