As Son Oh-gong wanders at the crossroads between life and death, Samjang appears before him. Samjang reminds him of the promise they made in front of the Magic Chinese Characters stone monument. He then hands Son Oh-gong the Stone of Promise and the Essence of Earth, telling him to gather all the essences of the Five Elements and come find him at the Temple of the Earth Goddess. But their long-awaited reunion is brief—Samjang sends Son Oh-gong back to reality, and in the process, Son Oh-gong regains all his memories from the Realm of the Jade Emperor and the Realm of Light.
