About the Author: Born in 1974 in Fremantle, Western Australia. From middle school, he taught himself to draw, and at age 16 in 1990, he illustrated his first science fiction novel. He studied English Literature and Art History at university. In 1992, he received The Illustration of the Future Award, and has since won the Aurealis Award for Best Australian Science Fiction Artist, the Crichton Award for Illustration, and a Bologna Ragazzi Award Honor. His works include The Lost Thing, among others which he both wrote and illustrated.

About the Translator: She majored in German Literature at Seoul National University and earned her doctorate with a dissertation on German children's and youth literature. As a children's literature scholar and translator, she has translated numerous children's books and worked to introduce quality foreign titles to Korean readers. Her translated works include The Happy Street Sweeper, When the Wind Stops, Run, Ruudi!, Give Me Back My Puppy Trixie!, Children in the Trees, The Eagle Who Didn't Want to Fly, the Pettson series, and the Mini Mini series, among others.
