Description

‘Children's Hunminjeongeum’ has received positive feedback from teachers and parents since its first publication in 2002, aimed at improving elementary school students' vocabulary. It has been revised with each new textbook release, and the 4th revised edition reflects the content of the new textbooks that will be applied starting in 2024.
Language is not only a means of communication but also essential for expressing one's thoughts. The basic unit of language is vocabulary. Therefore, both the quantitative and qualitative improvement of vocabulary is a crucial factor in enhancing children's learning abilities. All subject learning, as well as the tests that assess that learning, are conducted through language. Thus, vocabulary is not just a part of studying the Korean language but is fundamental and essential for all learning.
This textbook selects the necessary vocabulary by grade and presents various problem formats to make learning easy and enjoyable for children. Through this textbook, we hope children will develop an interest in vocabulary learning and gain confidence, serving as a guide for both subject learning and proper Korean language use.
The ‘4th Revised Edition of Children's Hunminjeongeum’ has the following features:
1. It follows the new curriculum content to be used starting in 2024.
2. It is a vocabulary learning textbook tailored to the curriculum progress by grade. While the basic structure follows the Korean language curriculum table of contents, it also includes key vocabulary from other subjects that must be known in that grade.
3. It includes essential vocabulary from the textbooks as well as important vocabulary outside the textbooks, making it a well-rounded resource.
4. It provides practical learning opportunities for vocabulary, spelling, pronunciation, spacing, manuscript paper usage, and basic grammar.
