Description

‘Children's Hunminjeongeum’ has been well-received by teachers and parents since its first publication in 2002, aimed at improving elementary school students' vocabulary. The book is edited around the vocabulary found in the textbooks, and revised editions have been released with each new curriculum, with the 4th revised edition reflecting the content of the new textbooks that will be implemented starting in 2024.
Language is an essential means of communication and expressing one's thoughts. The basic unit of language is vocabulary. Therefore, both the quantitative and qualitative improvement of vocabulary is a crucial factor in enhancing children's learning abilities. All subject learning, as well as the tests that assess that learning, are conducted through language. Thus, vocabulary is not merely a part of studying the Korean language but a fundamental and essential component of all learning.
This textbook selects the necessary vocabulary for each grade and presents various problem formats to make learning easy and enjoyable for children. It is hoped that through this textbook, children will develop an interest in vocabulary learning and gain confidence, serving as a guide for both subject learning and proper Korean language use.
The ‘4th Revised Edition of Children's Hunminjeongeum’ has the following features:
1. It follows the new curriculum content that will be used starting in 2024.
2. It is a vocabulary learning textbook tailored to the curriculum progress for each grade. While the basic structure follows the table of contents of the Korean language subject, it also includes many key vocabulary from other subjects that are essential for that grade.
3. It includes not only the essential vocabulary within the textbooks but also important vocabulary outside the textbooks, making it a comprehensive resource.
4. It allows for practical learning of vocabulary, spelling, pronunciation, spacing, manuscript paper usage, and basic grammar.
