Through natural and varied methods, children are gently guided—almost without noticing the progression—toward the joy of speaking, listening, reading, and writing from the very first steps. Through practical and diverse activities covering the importance of writing, punctuation marks, correct manuscript paper writing, proper sentence construction, and diary writing, this single book helps 1st and 2nd graders master these skills. By directly reading creative tales, folktales, world classics, and fables, children are encouraged to think and apply what they've learned about writing, building a strong foundation for reading comprehension and essay writing. Model answers are included to help guide children's thinking and writing direction.
