One of a picture book series that shapes the characteristics of animals into three-dimensional forms using everyday household items as its subject matter. Designed to spark imaginative play in babies aged 0-3 through familiar objects around them, this book pairs simple, repetitive questions like "What are you doing?", "Where did it go?", and "Who is this?" with cleverly composed scenes of animals engaged in activities children know well, such as sleeping, being carried on someone's back, and nursing. "Fun Picture Book" vividly brings snails, goldfish, turtles, butterflies, and other animals to life using 12 different fabric props, including a thimble, gloves, socks, and a wool hat. The backgrounds, too, are crafted from colorful paper to add depth and dimension. By delicately depicting animals using objects children commonly see around the house, these picture books help children recognize the materials used while also imagining what kind of animal each material has been transformed into—broadening their imagination in the process.
