Description What happens when you count to 100 in a steaming hot bathhouse? Adorable friends keep showing up one after another! Wow, this is fun! Who will come next? A bathhouse full of laughter that lasts a whole 100 seconds Every Sunday, all the friends in the neighborhood head to the 100-Second Bathhouse. What's the secret behind its popularity? Meow Cat and Peep Chick are visiting the 100-Second Bathhouse for the first time today. They quickly strip off their clothes and hurry inside, where a big bathtub welcomes them. Then Meow Cat has a fun idea: "Why don't we get in the hot water and count to 100?" Meow Cat and Peep Chick sink into the warm bath and slowly begin counting. One by one, adorable friends start showing up, and soon the bathhouse becomes lively and noisy. The penguin who got in first can't stand the heat and frantically searches for cold ice water. The panda, wiping sweat off its face with a towel, accidentally scrubs off its black markings and turns into a polar bear! The piglet siblings huddled together in the water seem curious about the bubbles rising up — uh oh, looks like one of them let out a little toot! Then suddenly, the bathhouse grows dark and ghosts appear. But there's nothing to be scared of — once the ghosts soak in the hot water, they turn bright red and transform into octopuses, becoming friends with the other animals. Meow Cat and Peep Chick get sweaty and their fingers turn all wrinkly in the hot tub, but they keep counting diligently as they wait for the next guest. 1, 2, 3, 4... 99! Before long, the moment to count to 100 arrives. What will happen in the bathhouse when they finally reach 100? So warm and cozy! A picture book that makes bath time feel like a fun game 100-Second Bathhouse features cute animal friends and quirky guests who keep the story bubbling with fun surprises. Children reading this book will naturally get drawn into the story, eager to find out what happens next. There's also plenty of fun to be had spotting hidden details throughout the book: a frog employee sweeping the bathhouse clean with a giant broom, pretty flowers and butterflies curiously exploring the bathhouse, a sign announcing that children bathe for free on Sundays, and even a mermaid resting on a little island seen through the window! Searching for these delightful details helps children build observation skills and focus. Another wonderful feature of this book, true to its title, is that it doubles as a counting game from 1 to 100. Unlike typical counting books that jump by tens (1~10, 20, 30...), this book includes every single number from 1 to 100 without skipping any. That makes it a fantastic gift for young readers who are curious about numbers and enjoy counting to higher numbers. The back cover of 100-Second Bathhouse features a special illustration: our heroes Meow Cat and Peep Chick wearing towels twisted up like sheep horns, enjoying roasted eggs and sweet rice drink (sikhye) — a beloved Korean bathhouse tradition. This is a special gift from author Tatama, hoping that Korean children can create happy memories through 100-Second Bathhouse. Now, shall we all open the pages of 100-Second Bathhouse together and dive into a world of imagination?
