Description
[Warmth]
Grandma's warm embrace, a baby lamb's fluffy wool, a soft blanket made just for me…. Warmth feels soft, cozy, and comforting. We can feel warmth from animals, people, objects, and even a warm winter breeze. Warmth is similar to affection, closeness, and the urge to hug someone.
· Where does warmth live?
Warmth lives inside your heart. When you see a trembling little rabbit or a friend on the verge of tears, you feel the urge to give them a warm hug. And warmth often awakens "love."
[Love]
Of all our emotions, love may be the strongest. It can bring us bright smiles, or make us cry rivers of tears.
· How do we change when we love?
- Sometimes we become incredibly strong. To protect a beloved mother, a young and vulnerable sibling, or an adorable puppy, we become brave.
- Sometimes we become very fragile. When a friend you love moves away, or your mom scolds you, your heart can hurt so much that tears come.
The opposite of love is said to be "hate."
[Hate]
Sometimes we just don't like someone, and they get on our nerves. That feeling is called hate. What if a friend you were playing with at the playground breaks your toy? What if your sibling eats the snack you were saving? You might feel like you hate your friend, and hate your sibling too.
· How long does hate last?
Sometimes hate lingers for a long time. But other times, it passes quickly. You might feel upset and hate your sibling for taking your snack, but soon forgive them and give them a warm hug instead.
When hate is expressed through action, it's probably "anger."
[Anger]
Anger is an incredibly rough and unbearable feeling. Anger is very fast. It can seize your heart in an instant and go rushing off wildly. When you feel wronged, or when your peace of mind is broken, anger sneaks its way into your heart.
· Is anger ever useful?
Not really, in the world we live in. Anger is an emotion that stops us from thinking clearly. It makes you act like an animal—like an animal that's been attacked. Since we live with people rather than in the wild, reacting unwisely can make bad situations even worse. If we can't get past a moment of "annoyance" well, it can sometimes turn into anger.
